2009-1010 Cabinet Application Available |
|
Fellow JSAer, After several weeks of work, the application put together by myself along with all of your wonderful elected officials is ready. We put a lot of thought into creating an application that will allow you to showcase your talents and provide plenty of options for you as well. After examining all of the positions available on the application, we know that you will find something that will suit your interests and motivate you to work for the greater good of our State. Cabinet is a tremendous opportunity but it is also a true commitment. It will allow you to challenge yourself and gain experience in a leadership setting but it is important to understand that you’ll need to take your work seriously so that no part of the Northeast State falls short. With all of that in mind, I invite you to download the application using the link below. Be sure to follow the application directions carefully, particularly that you must send a physical copy through the mail as well as email a digital copy to us when you have finished. You’ll need to write down the three positions that you are most interested in, but you only need to complete the essay and sample work for your top choice. The application is due on July 15th, 2009. If you have any questions at all, would like to request an extension, or need help choosing the position that best suits you – feel free to contact me, or any of the other elected officials. Get the application: www.northeastjsa.org/application Thank you once again for your dedication. I look forward to reading your applications! Dan Hoffmann Northeast State Governor

A Final Message From Your '08-'09 Governor |
|
Friends,
For one last time, I’d like to thank you all for such a great year. These past few months have been some of my best because of JSA and all of you.
At the beginning of my term, my goal was to take the resources we have in this state, the website, the Patriot, the CIA, communications, debate, and such, and structure them, removing the kinks and implementing systems in which they could flourish. Essentially we laid the infrastructure, with for example our new CIA system, that our state will have for years. As I keep stressing, it was great year but it was also a rebuilding year where we took most of the successes from Soojin, Jordan, and the governors’ of the past years and built off of them but more importantly truly learned from their mistakes – i.e. there was no drama on cabinet, a united and efficient team, and there were effective communications systems on the state and chapter level. So as the furher or “governor” of this state I can proudly say that there is a solid base now, a set of effective systems that we can fall back on, giving the Northeast Junior State the resources and support so we can reach new and most definitely better levels. But this did not just magically happen. Everyone in this state worked hard to strengthen our state and we cannot just stop here. The future is bright because the NES is composed of some of the most impressive kids I’ve ever met, who will bring this great state to new heights. And I’m excited to see what Dan does with my soon to be former job and Adit, Theo, Justin, Lia, and my man Fred do with there new positions.
It’s been an absolute honor serving as your governor for the 2008-2009 school year.
Thanks again for everything,
Alex Speiser
